The total available resource for offshore oil is nearly 50 billion tons and the natural gas resources reaches 22.3 trillion cubic meters. In the coming five years, China will enhance the exploration in the offshore oil and gas. According to statistics, in the "12th Five-year Plan" period, China will produce 50 million tons oil capacity in the offshore and continental slope; the total investment will be about 250 billion RMB to 300 billion RMB.
